Street Fighter x Tekken features a roster of 38 fighters. 19 fighters from each franchise. Some of the characters who you’ll get to pit against each other include Abel, Akuma, Chun-Li, Ken, M. Bison and Vega from Street Fighter and Alisa, Julia, Bryan, Lars, Xiaoyu and Yoshimitsu from Tekken.
However keep in mind that not all characters are playable at the start of the game and you’ll need to spend a fair bit of time playing, to unlock all of your favorite Street Fighter and Tekken characters. However, don’t worry as a few of each franchise’s most popular characters are available from the off set.
R Mika Street Fighter x Tekken:
One of the most popular characters who appears in Street Fighter is R. Mika. Some of her best known moves are flying peach, paradise hold, rainbow typhoon, day dream headlock and rainbow hip rush. R. Mika is a Japanese professional wrestler from the Women’s Pro-Wrestling Organization. Which is led by Yoko Harmageddon. R. Mika is known for her long blonde hair, which she styles in two high ponytails. Some of her known allies include Karin, Ibuki, Balrog, Dhalsim, Laura and Rashid. If you’re searching for a new character to experiment with, it’s definitely worth fighting as R. Mika.
It features a few fun bonus characters:
Street Fighter x Tekken also offers a few extra bonus characters. Examples of which include Megan Man, Pac-Man, Toro, Cole and Kuro. So if you ever wondered who would win in a fight between Pac-Man and Chun-Li, you’ll soon find out.
It was an instant success:
Within just two months, over 1 million copies of Street Fighter x Tekken were sold. Which is a testament to the popularity of both fighting franchises. However, the creators of the game were slightly disappointed as their goal was to sell 2 million copies within a month.
The Play Station version offers bonus characters:
The Play Station version of Street Fighter x Tekken features a few bonus characters. Examples of which include Cole Mac Garth from Sucker Punch’s Infamous franchise, as well as Sony mascots Toro Inue and Kuro. So if you own a few different consoles, you may want to play Street Fighter x Tekken on a Play Station. As the X Box version of Street Fighter x Tekken does not feature any bonus characters.
So if you’re a fan of the Street Fighter franchise or the Tekken franchise or both franchises, it’s definitely well worth playing Street Fighter X Tekken for several hours. If you’re a Tekken fan in particular it’s also well worth checking out the Tekken 3 movie trailer.
